COMMERCIAL VEHICLE FITTERS |
VLS provides transport related services to Utility companies throughout the North
East, South East and Yorkshire areas and is looking for enthusiastic, skilled craftsmen
to join the teams in these areas. You must have served a recognised apprenticeship,
have at least three years experience and be trained to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3
or above.
As well as an LGV C+E (HGV 1) driving licence, applicants must have proven skills
in vehicle fault diagnosis and be capable of maintaining a wide variety of vehicles
ranging from small car derived vans to large trucks (Tippers, Tankers and Box Trailers).
Preparing these vehicles for annual test to VOSA standards is also a prerequisite
of the position. Being a qualified MOT tester would be desirable.
VLS is a quality accredited (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999) organisation and full training will be given
in all procedural activities.
